NDC Regional Coordinator Inspects Ongoing Development Projects in South Dayi

The Volta Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Political Coordinator for the Volta Region at the Jubilee House, Hon. Ben Siki Abibu, has undertaken an emergency inspection tour of selected development projects in the South Dayi District.

The visit, which took place on Monday, June 9, 2026, was aimed at assessing the progress of ongoing projects, particularly those being funded through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).

Hon. Abibu travelled from Accra and was received by the District Chief Executive for South Dayi, Hon. Courage Kwame Kokroko, alongside district engineers and other officials.

Due to time constraints, the inspection focused on a number of active project sites, with Hon. Abibu indicating that he would return at a later date to assess additional projects across the district.

During the tour, he received updates on the status of the projects and commended the collaborative efforts of the Member of Parliament for South Dayi and Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Rockson-Nelson Kwami Etse Dafeamekpor, and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Courage Kokroko, in driving development within the constituency.

According to Hon. Abibu, continuity in parliamentary representation often contributes to sustained development, noting that experienced lawmakers are better positioned to advocate for projects and resources for their constituencies.

He also praised Hon. Dafeamekpor for his advocacy on behalf of the South Dayi Constituency and his contributions to national development.

The team visited several key project sites, including:

  • The College of Health Sciences project at Tongor-Tsanakpe
  • The 24.07-kilometre Todome-Kpalime–Tongor-Dzemeni Road project
  • Kpali State Senior High School at Todome-Kpalime
  • The Affordable Housing Project at Kpeve

Following the inspection of the Affordable Housing Project, the delegation proceeded to the Ho West District as part of its broader regional assessment activities.

The tour formed part of ongoing efforts to monitor government projects and ensure their timely completion for the benefit of local communities.
