Roads Minister Appears Before Committee on Economy and Development

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, has appeared before Parliament’s Committee on Economy and Development to provide updates on the government's road infrastructure agenda and ongoing projects across the country.

The engagement formed part of the committee’s oversight responsibility to assess policies, programmes, and investments aimed at driving economic growth and national development through improved infrastructure.

During the session, the Roads Minister briefed members on the status of key road projects, funding arrangements, and measures being implemented to improve road connectivity, facilitate trade, and support economic activity.

Hon. Agbodza also responded to questions from committee members regarding project execution, maintenance of existing road networks, and strategies to address challenges affecting the sector.

The Committee on Economy and Development used the opportunity to examine the contribution of road infrastructure to broader national development objectives, including job creation, regional integration, and access to markets.

The appearance underscores Parliament’s commitment to ensuring accountability and monitoring the implementation of critical infrastructure projects that support Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.
